This menu is known in English as “Shrimp Paste Fried Rice” or “ข้าวคลุกกะปิ” in Thai and pronouns as “Khao Clook Gapi”. This is one of my husband favorite menu. He love the flavor of the fired rice and the sweet pork with others vegetable on the side are very good combination and full of nutrition in one meal.
This dish could be for lunch or dinner, however, it’s quite filling meal. So, make sure you exercise or do yoga after you have this plate for dinner. ^_^
Shrimp paste has salty flavor from the real sea shrimp and it make as paste form. I use this shrimp paste and cook it with steamed rice in a sauce pan. To cut down the salty taste from shrimp paste, I make sweet pork on the side and others vegetables and side dish.
