Chicken Teriyaki

Teriyaki or 照り焼き sauce is Japanese creamy sauce. A menu that is quick and tasty at all time. 

Serves for 2 to 3

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound of Chicken, cut 1/4 inch slice
  • 1 cup of Broccoli, boiled
  • 1 cup of Cooked Rice
  • 1 tablespoon of Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tablespoon of Chopped Scallions (green onion)

Ingredients for Teriyaki Sauce

  • 3 teaspoons of Garlic, minced
  • 3 teaspoons of Ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup of Soy Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons of Mirin (Japanese rice wine)
  • 3 tablespoons of Sugar
  • 2/3 cup Water
  • 2 teaspoons of Cornstarch

Preparation

  1. Boil broccoli for 15 minutes or until tender, then decorate on a plate.
  2. In a sauce pan, cook chicken with oil with high heat until golden brown. Set aside.
  3. In the same pan, put Teriyaki sauce ingredients with water and cornstarch and stir until corporate with medium heat for about 5 minutes.
  4. Put cooked chicken back into Teriyaki sauce pan and stir for another 3 minutes. Then you on top of cooked rice and sprinkle with chopped green onion.
